Flint Hills Resources on Friday announced it acquired an ethanol plant near Camilla, Ga., from Southwest Georgia Ethanol. The purchase brings Flint Hills’ annual ethanol production capacity to 820 million gallons. It is also the only facility out of Flint Hills’ seven ethanol plants located outside the Midwest.
The Camilla plant began operating in 2008 and has an annual capacity of 120 million gallons of ethanol.
