Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX)
The TEEX-Preparedness Program focuses on training professionals to be resilient in the face of catastrophic disasters. Eventually, your incident management team will be challenged. Is it ready? Will plans and procedures work? Will the team perform? Does it have what it needs to get the job done? Is it really ready? How do you know?
A well-designed, expertly taught training and exercise program can answer these questions and more. It can make a good plan better. It can make a sound team stronger. It can demonstrate a need for added resources. Most of all, effective training and exercising can make your business and community safer and better prepared for any contingency.
Training begins with preparedness and coordination planning and progresses through incident response and on to recovery. At TEEX, simulation-based and/ or virtual reality training and exercises are available for incident management, jurisdictional crisis management training and multiagency coordination. By leveraging its dynamic training venues, customizable simulation-based software and comprehensive operational experience, TEEX is able to provide the most realistic training possible for professionals, allowing participants to become immersed in a realistic training environment to develop decision-making, leadership and incident management skills.
The TEEX-Preparedness Program offers an array of custom emergency and incident management training, exercise and technical assistance programs for public and private organizations.
