Total earlier this week restarted two lines at its Carville, Louisiana, polystyrene facility, after a June shutdown, Platts reports. The company had already restarted two other lines in July and earlier this month. Total declared force majeure on general-purpose polystyrene and other products in June after a local electricity provider’s transformer failed, resulting in the shutdown.
