Phillips 66 shut down a reformer unit at its Westlake, Louisiana, refinery and advanced planned maintenance on the unit earlier this month, Reuters reports. Sources said the reformer is set to start back up in mid-September. Phillips 66 is planning to shut down a coker unit at the Westlake refinery in March.
The fall maintenance season and a recent spate of Gulf Coast refinery shutdowns is expected to deliver relief from tumbling margins refiners have experienced this year.
