Northern Tier Energy on Wednesday said it restarted the No. 2 crude unit at its St. Paul Park refinery in Minnesota after completing unplanned maintenance. The company took the unit off line last month and said the shutdown would reduce the 97,800-barrel-per-day (bpd) refinery’s average throughput to as low as 86,000 bpd in the third quarter.
