Motiva Enterprises was restarting the naphtha complex at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery on Friday, more than a week after its was idled for repairs. Via Reuters, the complex was shut down Jan. 27 for repairs to a leaking heater tube in its 115,000-barrel-per-day hydrotreater.
Motiva is also set to restart the refinery’s Catalytic Reforming Unit 4 this week and the second-largest crude distilling unit in the third week of February. Both units were shut in the last week of December as part of a multi-unit overhaul. The units involved in the overhaul are expected to restart by early March.
