A contractor fell to his death today at a Pemex refinery in Guanajuato, Mexico, Reuters reports. The worker, who was an employee of contracting firm Atzco, was working on a catalytic plant when he fell.
Pemex has suffered numerous incidents involving deaths and injuries in recent months, in both its upstream and downstream businesses. Eight workers were injured in a gasoline spill and gas leak at its Minatitlan refinery in June and seven workers were killed in a platform fire in the Gulf of Mexico in April.
