An oil rig located about 40 miles south of Midland, Texas, exploded Tuesday morning, killing three workers. Via the Associated Press, authorities in Rankin, Texas, said a pulling unit crew was at the site when the blast occurred. The workers who died were employees of Mason Well Service of Odessa, Texas. Parsley Energy of Midland owned the well. One other worker at the site was not injured in the explosion.
