A Kinder Morgan employee was killed in an accident at Total’s Port Arthur, Texas, refinery on Saturday. Via Reuters, the worker died when the bulldozer he was driving in a pit beneath a unit flipped over in petroleum coke dust and scalding water. A source said Total cut in half production rates at the 225,500-barrel-per-day refinery. Total said operators had stopped taking coke from the unit. The accident is under investigation.
