A fire broke out at Tesoro’s Los Angeles Refinery in Carson, California, Monday morning, but it was quickly contained. Via the Daily Breeze, the fire affected part of a pipeline that contained sweet fuel gas. Refinery production was not affected, and no one was injured. A Tesoro spokesman said there was no threat to the surrounding community.
Next year Tesoro will complete a $460 million project to integrate the Carson and Wilmington portions of the Los Angeles refinery.
