VERONA, Pa. — Conco Services Corp. will sponsor a webinar through BIC Alliance titled “Low Pressure Mechanical Tube Cleaning — The Safe, Fast and Efficient Alternative to Hydroblasting” April 14 at 1 p.m. CDT/2 p.m. EDT.
Jason Wilburn, vice president and general manager of Conco’s Industrial Services Division, will share information on tube cleaning systems that use safe, low-pressure water in conjunction with a variety of pigs, brushes and drill bits specifically sized to tube IDs. These systems work together to thoroughly remove deposits from heat exchanger tubes. Conco’s TruFit systems operate at less than 700 psi, thus eliminating the need for hydroblasting at 20,000 to 40,000 psi.
In addition to the safety offered by utilizing low-pressure water, systems like Conco’s TruFit™, HydroDrill™ and Excaliber™ can operate with smaller crews and much smaller footprints than hydroblasting. This allows the equipment to be placed much closer to the heat exchanger, reducing the size of the work area and safety zone. Also, by contacting the full length of the tubes, Conco’s systems provide thorough removal of deposits including at the ends and around any bends — areas often left untouched by hydroblasting.
