Venezuela PDVSA’s refineries are operating at half capacity due to operational issues, Reuters reports. Sources say spare parts shortages, lack of maintenance and an unreliable power grid have contributed to historically low output rates at the firm’s biggest refineries. The reduced production has prompted PDVSA to issue purchase tenders for refined products. Additionally, Venezuela’s exports to the United States have dropped while its oil product imports have increased.
