The Supreme Court has denied a request by 20 states to halt the EPA’s Mercury Air Toxics rule while the agency works on a revision. Via the Associated Press, the decision leaves in place a district court ruling that the mercury regulations can remain in place as the EPA responds to a legal challenge. The Supreme Court last June ordered the agency to complete a cost-benefit analysis and revise the rule.
