Flint Hills Resources today announced it had entered an agreement to acquire Houston-based propylene producer PetroLogistics, a deal valued at $2.1 billion. PetroLogistics owns and operates the only propane dehydrogenation facility in the U.S., with an annual production capacity of about 1.45 billion pounds. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year.
