Magellan Midstream Partners will build a $335 million refined products terminal on the Houston Ship Channel in Pasadena, Texas, the company said Thursday. Magellan said it would build approximately one million barrels of refined products and ethanol storage, along with a marine dock and a pipeline that will connect to its Galena Park terminal. The company said it could potentially add connections to other refineries, pipelines and terminals in the Gulf Coast region.
Magellan said the terminal could be expanded to include up to 10 million barrels of storage and as many as five docks. The terminal is expected to start up in 2019.
