With the January integration of Sigala Contracting, a Houston-based process piping fabricator, site installation and plant maintenance company, and Meiners Construction, a heavy civil construction company, FUSED Industries is the newest addition to the industrial services market.
The combination represents the next phase of transformation for Meiners and Sigala, extending construction capabilities to offer a full line of services for industrial plants and municipal markets across the Gulf Coast region.
30-plus years' combined expertise
Sigala Contracting offers deep expertise in process piping fabrication and the core disciplines of specialty welding, structural steel fabrication, site installation and plant maintenance. Its skilled craftsmen and millwrights have supported countless projects across Houston, equipped with the tools and expertise necessary to execute a wide range of complex industrial process challenges.
For over 25 years, Meiners Construction has built a reputation as an expert in heavy civil construction. Its expertise spans the industry, from municipal construction to large industrial expansion projects, specializing in infrastructure development, underground utilities, mass excavation, and road and bridge projects.
Multicraft industrial services
FUSED Industries, with its new 33,000-square-foot ASME fabrication facility, brings together best-in-class products, technology and multicraft service capabilities across process piping, fabrication, installation and maintenance, as well as heavy highway, bridge and water/wastewater/storm drainage utility construction to serve various markets, including chemical, petrochemical, refining, midstream/pipeline, power plants, manufacturing and municipal.
Bonding the best talent in industry
Especially at a time when skilled craftsmen are increasingly in short supply, a new entrant into the heavy industrial plant market will provide the skilled crafts necessary to keep aging plants operating at peak performance, with the ability to support general plant maintenance, turnarounds, plant retrofits and major plant expansions.
FUSED sells directly to the plants and supports EPCs in subcontracting both its custom fabrication and process piping field installation services to assist EPCs in major project execution.
FUSED is also an authorized manufacturer with S, U and R stamps and is API 653 and 1104 qualified in supporting the chemical, petrochemical and refining markets.
Providing expertise, assets, performance record
With this new venture, FUSED will focus on offering an integrated approach that trims waste and diminishes risks for projects of all sizes. Committed to providing the expertise, assets and performance record to deliver optimum results, FUSED Industries is striving for a level of achievement far above competitors.
"By selecting FUSED for your projects, you are choosing a contractor who is as focused on your objectives as you are," said CEO Terry Taylor.
FUSED's new office is now open in Houston at 14155 West Hardy Toll Road.
