The Coating Society of the Houston Area held its annual Painters’ Competition April 16 at Valu Industrial Services in Baytown, Texas. Two teams from Valu Industrial won first and second place, and a team from Mobley Industrial Services won third place. Teams from Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services and S&B Engineering also participated in the competition. More than 190 people attended the event.
The first place team is awarded an SSPC course, safety blasting hoods and medals supplied by the Painters’ Competition. The second place team is awarded a NACE CIP course, prize money and blasting hoods. Third place receives prize money and blasting hoods. The prizes will be awarded at the Coating Society of the Houston Area’s Annual Trade Show August 29 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Texas.
The Painters’ Competition is held each April to recognize skilled painting professionals.
