Cross Country Infrastructure Services has served the Houston area for three years with multiple locations and offerings. Recently, Cross Country consolidated its multiple Houston locations into one facility. BIC Magazine recently visited with Steve Burge, vice president (VP) of operations at Cross Country, to learn more about what this new location provides the company's Houston customers.
BIC: How long has Cross Country planned for this new facility?
BURGE: Cross Country has been in the Houston market since 2014 with as many as four separate locations, and it was a real challenge to find the right property with the acreage, office space and warehouse space to support our growth. The new facility perfectly consolidates our Houston operation with four buildings, two yards and over 80,000 square feet on nine acres. We just celebrated its opening with an open house Oct. 26.
BIC: What kinds of benefits will the new Houston location offer customers?
BURGE: Our customers will now have the ability to make a single phone call for supplies and rental equipment such as track equipment and specialty pumps. Additionally, logistics will be easier and more efficient with a single point of pick up.
We've already seen huge benefits of having the inside sales staff from all segments under one roof. Any time an organization can provide additional value to its customer base, growth will follow.
BIC: How does the new facility separate Cross Country from the competition?
BURGE: A lot of companies use the buzz phrase "one-stop shop." Cross Country has made this a reality, and we're excited to be a part of not only the pipeline construction market but also the greater infrastructure market in the Houston area.
BIC: What has led to Cross Country's success?
BURGE: Cross Country prides itself on forming strong partnerships with its customers. It is essential to understand the necessities for each project and supply the right equipment and services needed.
BIC: What does the future hold for Cross Country?
BURGE: Cross Country is looking to expand along with our customers and tackle a variety of infrastructure projects around the United States, Canada and even South America.
