Eight people were injured Thursday when a gas line exploded at a shuttered power plant in New Orleans. Via the New Orleans Advocate, the explosion at Entergy’s shuttered Michoud power plant was triggered when a piece of construction equipment struck the gas line. One Entergy worker was hospitalized with serious injuries and seven others were treated for minor to moderate injuries.
